Do I need a Doctor’s referral to go to physiotherapy?
No Doctor’s referral is required to attend physiotherapy, however, some extended medical plans may require a referral in order to direct bill / receive reimbursement (plan specific).
Is my appointment covered by Medical Services Plans (MSP)?
Certain individuals may be subsidized through MSP for physiotherapy appointments. It is based off household income. Our system is able to check for any available coverage with your legal name, date of birth and CareCard number. This applies to BC residents only.
Do you direct-bill extended medical?
Our booking system (Jane App) is equipped to direct-bill most extended medical providers.
Are you able to fill out functional assessment forms / return to work forms?
Many employers will allow physiotherapists to fill out functional assessment / return to work forms. It is dependent on each individual employer / provider. There is a fee associated with filling out forms, and it dependent on the length of the form. Some forms can be direct-billed to the employer and some must be paid by the client.
